A Note About Us
Our History with Chocolate Labs began in 2000 when a
friend of ours told us that there was one more puppy left
from a litter she had gotten her puppy from. We were just
going to "take a look", and fell in love with our first
Chocolate Lab, Spruceknolls Polly Anna. Then in 2003, we
decided to get our dog "Polly" a puppy. Enter into the
picture Spruceknolls Clover Meadow. Polly is very sedate
and mature; Clover is a very carefree fun loving spirit.
We feel even deeper in love chocolate Labradors and could
not stand the thought of not having another puppy for at
least 10 or more years, so we decided to breed Clover. Thus
began a journey of certifications and knowledge gathering.
Puppies are a blessing from God. We have the honor of
loving and nourishing the puppies and then send them to
quality homes that love them as much as we did/do (kind of
like the grandmother thing, love them, spoil them, take care
of them, and then send them to their new homes). We have
two children; both boys that also help love and socialize
our puppies.
The Labrador retriever is a remarkable breed and many
responsible breeders have invested great care in promoting
and preserving the breed's wonderful characteristics. A
carefully bred and socialized Labrador is outgoing, happy
and sees every being as his friend. We look forward to many
wonderful years and memories with this beloved breed.
